Family Worship Guide
Memory Verses: Psalm 91:5-6
Day 1: Read Luke 9:1-6 & discuss: Consider in your own life the moments when someone ministered to you: in what specific ways did it seem like it was Jesus ministering to you? Consider the last year of your life: in what specific ways have you ministered to others, in such a way that it’s what Jesus would have done in that same situation? Could the people you were ministering to tell that it was Jesus (through you) ministering to them? Why or why not?
Day 2: Read Luke 9:1-6 & discuss: What does it mean to be the “body of Christ”? Compare and contrast us - the Body of Christ - to the 12 Apostles. What things remain the same? And what differences are there now? Why did some people think Jesus was John the Baptist? Elijah? Why are these two guesses significant?
Day 3: Read Luke 9:1-6 & discuss: What was the natural reaction to Galilee? Why? What is the significance in the fact that Jesus chose common men - not spiritual men like Pharisees - to be his disciples?
