Memory Verse: Mark 4:18-19

Day 1: Read Matt 5:21-22, Matt 5:27-28, Phil 3:4, Rom 3:20, Rom 7:7 and discuss: What was unique about the tenth commandment in what it addressed versus the other nine? How did the teachings of Jesus raise the bar of the standard of right when compared to the Law? What did Paul say he was found blameless for externally but was dead to rights internally? What pointed this out to him? How does the Word of God function like this for us?

Day 2: Read Mark 4:18-19, Col 3:5, Matt 6:24, Mark 10:17-25 and discuss: What three things did Jesus say would choke out the effects of the Word? How have these things affected your witness?
