Day 1: Before hearing this sermon how would you have answered this question: “What is the gospel?” 2. How would you have answered this question: “Before the time of Jesus’ life on earth, what was the gospel?” Read Rom. 3:20 & Gal. 2:21 and discuss: Explain the importance of answering question #2 correctly, in light of these passages (i.e. “Why does it matter?”)

Day 2: Read Luke 9:1-6 and discuss: What does it mean to “proclaim” something? What does “kingdom of God” refer to? Why is it important?

Day 3: Read Heb. 4:1-2 and discuss: What were some examples of the “good news” that was preached to the Israelites in the wilderness (OT)? That is - what were some of the “types” that foreshadowed Jesus Christ and what He would accomplish on the cross?
